50 000 for auction topper Governor

Once again, a very successful event took place last Saturday January 11 at SentowerPark on the 6th edition of Horse Auction Belgium.

This year, the team lead by Organizers Michel Spaas, Cristophe Gijbels, Kevin Gielen and Lore Penders, outdid themselves to offer their guests the most wonderful opportunity to enjoy a top selection of young horses, great ambience, great turnout of equestrians and horse enthusiasts and a very entertaining evening. Always partner with the best sponsors, this edition of Horse Auction Belgium was for sure one for the books!

32 horses and  8 embryos were auctioned. The horses all together, were sold for 637 000 €, with an average price of 19 906 €.

The auction started on time with good prices but as the auction proceeded, the prices went even up. The auction topper was Governor at 50 000 €, sold to Boyen-Daems Sporthorses (Belgium).  Cas de Fleur changes owner for 34 000 € and she also stays in Belgium. It is nice to see that every year more of the selection of young horses are shipped abroad and there is a bigger international client scene. Argentina z is sold for 19 000 € to Portugal, Artic JT Z is sold for 30 000 € to Germany, Legrande is sold for 30 000€ to Japan and Miss Power for 32 000 € to Switzerland. Reggy Hoffman (The Netherlands) bought Adele van Grobbenhof for 26 000 € and Hayley KDW for 19 000 €. Three horses were sold to Norway: Et Alors Z (11 000€) and Repleaser van het Genelaar (22 000€) to the family Svepstad and Laguna HX (19 000€) to Bratsberg Ridesenter. Other horses went to Poland, Sweden, Italy and even Colombia..

Like in the previous versions of HAB, Flanders Foal Auction presented a couple of interesting embryos during this year’s edition. The average price of the embryos was 16 333 €.

Overall a fantastic evening!

We want to thank everyone who attended, our clients, our organizing team, owners and sponsors for making this year’s event so special.
